Finance Support Coordinator Location : North Belfast, Northern Ireland Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (once settled in) Contract : 6-month fixed-term (possible extension) REED Accountancy is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing business in the Newtownabbey area for an experienced Finance Support Coordinator to join their team on a project basis for a period of 6-months, supporting the Procurement and Finance departments. This business is an Industry leader, and the finance department is evolving and growing. This role is crucial for clearing a backlog of purchasing and invoicing reconciliation work, ensuring alignment between delivery notes, purchase orders, bills of lading, and supplier invoices. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct thorough checks to confirm alignment between delivery records, purchase orders, and supplier invoices. Investigate and resolve mismatches across internal systems and supplier documentation. Act as the point of contact for suppliers and internal teams to clear outstanding queries promptly. Review and update internal payment schedules to reflect current supplier balances and commitments. Ensure all entries accurately represent goods received, approved invoices, and pending payments. Provide clear visibility of upcoming liabilities to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to strengthen accuracy throughout the purchase-to-payment workflow. Suggest practical enhancements to reduce errors and prevent future backlogs. Assist with broader administrative tasks and reporting requirements within the procurement function. Maintain organized records of reconciliations and issue resolutions for audit readiness. Deliver regular progress updates to management and finance teams. Support month-end activities and reporting as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in finance/accounts, particularly in invoicing reconciliation. Strong accounting discipline and attention to detail. Ability to handle high volumes of transactional data. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
