Chronicle Heritage Arabia is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor to support our Reporting Team remotely. This position plays a key role in editing and formatting deliverables for a wide array of archaeological and cultural heritage projects based in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality reports that meet regulatory and client standards. Copy edit and format reports and associated deliverables for archaeological monitoring, archaeological clearance, archaeological survey, archaeological trenching, archaeological excavation, and heritage impact assessments, among other forms of cultural heritage projects
Copy edit and format technical reports and documentation for:
Archaeological monitoring and clearance
Pedestrian surveys and trenching
Heritage impact assessments
Other cultural heritage deliverables
Ensure quality control by adhering to project timelines, regulatory frameworks, and Chronicle Heritage Arabia’s internal style guide.
Collaborate effectively with reporting team members and other staff across disciplines to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
At least 2 years of experience in copy editing, preferably within a professional or technical context
Exceptional command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
Academic background in archaeology, anthropology, history, architectural history, or related fields
Experience editing documents in the domains of archaeology, cultural heritage, or environmental management
Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is a strong asset
Familiarity with software tools such as InDesign, QorusDocs, Teamwork, and other editorial/project management applications
