About the Home: We are a small, family run care home that prides it self by providing a Home from Home atmosphere for all.

Job Summary

The Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents within a care home setting. This position involves supporting the daily needs of elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort and well-being, while also supervising junior staff members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a compassionate approach to senior care, contributing to the development and implementation of personalised care plans.

Duties

* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Supervise and mentor junior care staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in care delivery.
* Develop and maintain individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in a senior care or care home environment is essential.
* Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
* Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes is required.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting the elderly is essential.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and social care will be an advantage.
