Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to demonstrate strategic leadership and to bring a data-driven focus to our bank. You will set the strategic direction for Data & Analytics (D&A) within the Wealth businesses, leveraging new capabilities from the bank-wide data strategy to maximize value for our Wealth customers. You will manage budgets, performance, team workflow, and delivery across the broader D&A area.
What you'll do
You will define the strategic direction for monetizing data within the Wealth franchise, coordinating efforts across franchises and functions to deliver insights and value from data assets. Your goal will be to make our bank more customer-centric by utilizing data related to customer relationships and presenting this data effectively to front-line staff. You will lead data delivery and strategy, embedding data-led decision-making through engagement, engineered data, AI solutions, and self-serve tools. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and motivate your team to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.
Further responsibilities include:
* Implementing data management protocols and business rules to ensure secure and compliant data handling
* Embedding the D&A team into partner businesses, operating models, and matrix structures
* Designing data strategies and tracking systems to measure value delivery
The skills you'll need
Successful candidates will have extensive financial services knowledge and experience leading teams that use D&A to influence decision-making. You should have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, business processes within private banking and wealth management, and strategic priorities. Knowledge of balance sheet management, large multi-disciplinary team management, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Additional skills include:
* Advanced analytics and AI methodologies, with experience leading teams in solving complex problems
* Knowledge of cloud data engineering platforms like AWS and Azure
* Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and MLOps practices
* Understanding of ethical AI considerations and banking data architecture
