The Vacancy
In summary, the successful person will be a key part of the Land Department, targeted with acquiring a substantial development pipeline for Greencore of short, medium-term and strategic sites. They will assist with all aspects of land acquisition and, on occasion, with the sale of land for Affordable Housing or to Build-to-Rent Investors. This includes:
* Assist with the filtering of appropriate opportunities as Greencore refines target locations for new sites and divisions.
* Assist the team with progressing new opportunities from the point of first appraisal to acquisition and beyond.
* Actively contribute to site appraisals, sourcing all required inputs, working alongside other departments and external advisors.
* Maintain a clear and accurate electronic file in respect of each new opportunity.
* Support the land team undertake all necessary due diligence on each acquisition, both pre and post offer.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in planning, technical, legal, finance and operations before, during and after site acquisition.
* Establish and maintain a high profile with external property contacts and help to establish effective working relationships within our geographical area of operation.
* Help the team to appraise on-market opportunities such that Greencore becomes seen as a go-to developer of choice for agents, promoters and land owners.
* Source off-market land opportunities and cultivate long term relationships with landowners and agents.
The Person
You must have:
* A property related degree or qualification
* Experience of working in the residential development industry
* A network of connections in the residential property sector
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to present and report work professionally
* A positive, enthusiastic attitude to work
* Ability to prioritise and complete tasks with an eye for detail
* Understanding of land transactions, planning and residential development
* A good level of IT skills. (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
