We have a fantastic opportunity for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our successful and growing Contentious Probate team. Our nationally recognised team is known for delivering high-quality work and achieving excellent outcomes for clients, with a strong reputation across the UK. Based in our Cardiff office, you will join a large, supportive team where you will be encouraged to develop your skills and progress your career. Our Contentious Probate team advises on a broad range of matters, including will, trust and estate-related disputes, Inheritance Act claims, challenges to will validity, disputes involving breaches of trust, and applications for the removal of executors/trustees, as well as a wide variety of other contentious matters. The team is extremely busy, offering an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse and interesting caseload. You will be a qualified solicitor, or legal executive, with up to 4 years’ experience in contentious probate (applications are welcome if your experience was gained as part of a training contract). You will be confident managing your own caseload, advising clients and progressing matters efficiently. You will also demonstrate a genuine interest in business development, both internally and externally, and will contribute to sharing knowledge and best practice across the team. You will work on matters of varying value and complexity, including HNW cases, with support and encouragement to build your profile and develop your career through a clear progression framework.
