These are exciting times for us, as we aim to complete the deep retrofit of Scotlands National Retrofit Centre, and launch the Mass Timber Centre of Excellence over the coming months. As such, we are currently recruiting for the position of Associate Impact Manager to work collaboratively with our stakeholders, supporting industry, education and government to innovate, to improve processes and deliver greater economic impact. The Role: As Associate Impact Manager, you will have the opportunity to use your significant experience of supporting business development or innovation activity within the construction/built environment sector, to build long term, trusted relationships with key businesses, helping them innovate across a wide range of areas and providing input into the development, coordination and management of skills programmes. This will include using your excellent networking and project management skills to coordinate collaboration with relevant partners and assist them with taking advantage of opportunities, innovation and growth funding; in turn addressing strategic challenges relating to their journey to net zero. As someone experienced in successful project delivery, you will be in an excellent position to use your skills to co-ordinate and/or manage live innovation projects, often involving multiple partners and complex relations, ensuring compliance and project milestones are met and outcomes and delivered. The role will also see you working with schools, further and higher education establishments as well as industry to facilitate collaboration and support projects that address strategic industry opportunities and challenges. We also anticipate that you will be passionate about working towards a net zero environment and expect that you will use this enthusiasm and knowledge of existing/emerging practices to form an effective and credible interface between us, our partners and external specialists. What we will need from you: - Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience - Significant experience of working closely in or with businesses, supporting business development or innovation activity - An understanding of how Scotland / the UKs Construction sector operates from both a strategic and operational perspective (industry dynamics, supply chains etc.) - Direct experience of working in/with the construction industry, across digital, modern methods of construction and Retrofit - Strong project management experience with a track record of supporting complex projects and experience of building successful long-term relationships with businesses of all sizes - Experience of delivering training, learning/upskilling or coordination/development of learning For a full role description and comprehensive list of duties, please click here.
