Overview
This role is in the Shared EPR Team, part of The Health Informatics Service hosted by CHFT. Applications are invited from clinically registered persons with significant experience of Electronic Patient Record systems to play a key role in leading clinical systems development in an established team.
We welcome applications from individuals in other NHS organisations and from the private sector. The team values a mix of clinical, administrative and technical expertise and supports skill development in this fast growing hospital system. The Shared EPR Clinical Lead will provide strategic and leadership-based clinical configuration within the EPR team to ensure the EPR meets stakeholder requirements, including legal requirements, and is delivered on time and in line with current and future Trust needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership for the clinical configuration of the Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system within the Shared EPR Team.
* Engage with EPR colleagues, managers, clinical and non-clinical directorates, other NHS organisations and external stakeholders to ensure the EPR meets stakeholder needs and legal requirements.
* Oversee the requesting, requirements gathering and development process with awareness of capacity and demand management.
* Balance ongoing maintenance with developments to maximise EPR efficiency, horizon scan, and develop the clinical roadmap in conjunction with the Shared Head of EPR.
* Collaborate with CNIOs, CCIOs, Digital Clinical Specialists, Clinical Directors, Digital Operational Leads, Directorate managers and senior colleagues across the Trusts and with supplier organisations to understand service needs and plan development for multiple organisations.

We support more than 6,500 staff delivering care across Calderdale Royal Hospital, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and associated community sites. We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care, medical and surgical services, maternity, gynaecology, critical care, paediatrics, end of life care and outpatient/diagnostic imaging. We continually modernise and invest in health services to improve quality, guided by NHS Foundation Trust principles.
Requirements and experience
* Clinically registered with significant experience of Electronic Patient Record systems and related clinical configuration.
* Ability to work with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, manage requirements, and lead service development across multiple organisations.
