Acting as a role model for SpireHealthcare, the successful candidate will be responsible to, and supported bythe senior nurses. The post holder will be a member of the team thatassess and safely administer SACT treatments and provide information andsupport to patients undergoing anti-cancer treatment.

Our dedicated hospital team are passionate about excellent patient care and weoffer a range of specialist treatments to patients across Birmingham,Warwickshire and the West Midlands. This includes diagnostic services,rehabilitation, cutting-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialistfields like orthopaedics, womens health and cancer care. We have 51 bedroomsand five operating theatres.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities:
1. You will support in assessing patients health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
2. To work in tandem with the Consultants in an oncology and Haematology setting.
3. Cannulation and delivery of chemotherapy
4. Patient/relative/ carer support, education and delivery of information
5. Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
6. Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
7. Effective teamwork and communication with the wider multidisciplinary team.
8. You will be joining a well-established team, who have a strong working environment.

Who we're looking for:
9. NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
10. Have a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in an Oncology/Haematology setting.
11. Competent in venepuncture, phlebotomy and cannulation and the use of CVADs.
12. Evidence of SACT competency.
13. UK Oncology Nurse Society (UKONS) SACT passport (preferred but not essential).
14. Post registration study in cancer care or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
15. Compassionate and patient advocate.
16. Excellent communication skills, organised and can showcase excellent patient care.
