Robert Half is partnering with a well established business within the manufacturing sector looking to appoint a motivated and detail focused Assistant Accountant. Supporting the Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth day to day finance operations. Wirral based, onsite. 37 hours per week. About the Role: This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career in a hands on environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger. Prepare and post journal entries (including accruals and prepayments). Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Provide accounts payable support (holiday cover). Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments. Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances. Assist with VAT return preparation and submission.
