Your new company This organisation is a community focused housing association based in Edinburgh, dedicated to providing quality homes and building strong, inclusive communities. With a commitment to making a real difference, they are looking for a versatile and creative Communications officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is a hands on, varied role for a communications generalist. You'll support both internal and external communications, helping to engage staff, residents and stakeholders through a range of channels and content types.
Develop and deliver engaging internal communications to keep colleagues informed and connected
Create and manage external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and community updates
Support event planning and delivery-from tenant engagement sessions to staff briefings
Design and produce digital content, including graphics and short videos, for web and social media
Maintain and update website and intranet content
Monitor communications performance and contribute to continuous improvement
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a keen eye for design. You're organised, creative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in a communications role (in-house or agency)
Strong copywriting and editing abilities
Experience creating visual and video content (e.g., Familiarity with managing social media channels and websites (e.g., WordPress)
An understanding of the social housing or public sector environment is desirable but not essential
hourly rate of 17-19 per hour paid to you weekly through Morgan Hunt payroll
- Hybrid working (1-3 days in the office)
- Contracted work covering a period of sick leave, monthly rolling contract
