Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming Secondary School in Ashford. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking to gain further classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and follow the school’s behaviour policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour
Ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
Support students with their work where appropriate
Follow school policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Confidence, flexibility, and a professional approach
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
