We are looking for an experienced Gas Inspector to join our team, carrying out quality assurance inspections of Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs) and contractor works across Oxford and surrounding areas.
This is a field-based role involving daily visits to residential properties, combined with remote working. You will play a key role in ensuring gas safety compliance and delivering high standards across contractor performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect and review contractor-completed Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs)
* Identify and report any issues or non‑compliance to management
* Assess and approve remedial works, including reviewing associated costs
* Carry out post‑inspection audits at residential properties
* Maintain accurate records using provided digital systems
* Work closely with office teams while operating independently in the field
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in domestic gas work
* Current ACS qualifications including: CCN1 (or equivalent changeover), CPA1, CENWAT1 (central heating and boilers), HTR1 (space heaters), CKR1 (cookers)
Technical Knowledge
You will have a strong understanding of:
* Gas safety legislation and standards
* Building Regulations
* Gas emergency procedures
* Combustion performance and analysis
* Ventilation requirements
* Pipework installation and testing (tightness testing, purging)
* Identification and management of unsafe situations
* Gas safety devices and appliance controls
* Chimney standards, inspection, and testing
* Reinstatement of gas supply and appliance relighting
You should be confident inspecting, testing, commissioning, and maintaining a wide range of domestic gas appliances.
Desirable (Preferred) Qualifications
* LAU1 – Domestic tumble dryers
* DAH1 – Warm air heating
* MET1 – U6 meters
* CKHB1 – Range cookers
* CMDDA1 – CO investigation
* CONGLP – LPG (domestic)

Work Location
