We are looking for a Receptionist to join our dynamic and friendly team. In this high achieving practice only a stones throw away from Southsea seafront
This role is for 33 hours worked over 4 days.
Or one post for 16 hours and one for 17 hours
Shifts are :

Weds
Thurs
Fri -
Two days are never the same within this exciting role.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitorsas well as carrying out general office management tasks.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the general reception duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries.
You will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
You will provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
You will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature who can operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions, as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.
About us
Our team of 43 is made up of six GP partners and one salaried GP. Three nurse practitioners, two practice nurses and three health care assistants. We have a list size of 11,500 patients worked over two sites. We are a training practice and continually develop all our team. Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are:
1. Arrange appointments either face to face or via the telephone
2. Support clinical team working in the practice
3. Be the first point of contact for patients
4. Dealing with patient enquiries both by telephone or face to face
5. Providing patients/pharmacists repeat prescriptions
6. Monitor duty appointments and push doctor
Administration
7. Dealing with patient tasks from Doctors in a pro-active manner
8. Entering details onto the patient computer medical records
9. Producing summary printouts and printed documentation as required by community staff, secondary care and the patient
10. Generating repeat prescriptions
11. Registering temporary and regular patients on to the computer system
General Duties
12. locking doors, security alarms where relevant. Complying with Data protection and smartcard security
13. Ensure confidentiality at all times
14. Infection control, ensuring reception is compliant
15. Comply and familarise yourself with the practice's policies and procedures
16. Carry out any reasonable request by doctors and managers

Qualifications
Essential
17. GCSE Grade A to C or equivalent in English
Desirable
18. Experience of working in a GP Surgery desirable but not essential as full training will be given
