Responsibilities
* Working on projects across the public and private sectors, including residential and commercial developments, sports venues, schools, etc.
* Producing technical documents, such as Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Flood Estimation Reports.
* Contributing to Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
* Using software such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD to produce work.
Required skills and experience
* A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or Geography (or similar, relevant discipline).
* Good knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design.
* A keen understanding of Hydraulic Modelling.
* Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and other similar software systems.
* Outstanding written and verbal skills.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing.
* A genuine interest in flood risk and drainage, and their importance in environmental and engineering projects.
Desirable skills and experience
* Prior experience in a flood risk and/or drainage role.
* Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region.
* Excellent working knowledge of a range of other software systems used within the flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors.
