* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform purchasing strategies.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements aligned with company objectives.
* Ensure timely procurement to support continuous supply chain operations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet purchasing requirements.
* Analyse cost-saving opportunities and implement improvements where possible.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
* Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
* Previous experience in procurement or a related field within the FMCG industry.
* Strong negotiation and analytical skills to deliver value to the business.
* Familiarity with supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools for purchasing and data analysis.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
