Offer description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright, enthusiastic and experienced person to join the Accounts Payable Team. We are looking for another motivated team member to join our busy Company Accounts team who continues to support the phenomenal growth of the business. You will be joining an expanding business that offers great career opportunities.

This role is based in the office 5 days a week.

Location: Teddington, TW11
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm (based in the office 5 days a week.)

Key Responsibilities
- Input purchase ledger invoices and payments onto Sage.
- Reconcile Sage accounts to ensure they are kept tidy and accurate.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy for all data entry and postings.
- Set up new suppliers, verify bank details, and build relationships with key contacts.
- Allocate receipts and payments accurately.
Payments & Financial Reporting
- Prepare, check, and execute weekly payment runs.
- Raise and send cheques as required.
- Review aged debtors to ensure ledgers are maintained and allocated correctly.
- Assist in month-end routines, reporting, and ledger reconciliations to meet departmental deadlines.
- Implement stringent checks and safeguards to eliminate potential fraud.
Communication & Support
- Proactively manage and respond to internal and external finance queries via telephone and email, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal departments, and other stakeholders.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc duties and projects as required.
General Office & Team Support
- Assist teams with overflow work, busy periods, and holiday cover.
- Manage phone overflow and assist with general administrative tasks.
- Share responsibility for opening and distributing the post.
- Follow up on any outstanding queries to ensure timely resolution.

Skills
- Strong levels of customer service, both internal and external.
- Accuracy with a good eye for detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all dealings and correspondence
- Able to demonstrate initiative along with a ‘can do’ approach
- Having experience with Microsoft Excel and Sage will be beneficial for this role.
