Role Information Start Date: September 2026 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £92.63 – £95 per day Location: Bournemouth Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth from September 2026. This rewarding role will see you working within a Key Stage 1 (KS1) classroom, supporting pupils with their learning and development. You will help children stay engaged with their work, assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and contribute to the smooth running of the classroom. Some pupils may have Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEND), meaning there may also be opportunities to provide 1:1 support. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development. Assist children in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Work closely with the class teacher to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. Provide additional support to pupils who require targeted interventions or 1:1 assistance. About You To be successful in this role, you will be: Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Empathetic, patient, and compassionate. Able to commit to a full-time Monday – Friday role. Experienced working within a KS1 setting or with primary-aged children. Passionate about making a positive difference to children's education. Requirements To apply for this role, you will need: An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one). Relevant experience working within a school setting, or a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification. The right to work in the UK.
