HVAP Shift Supervisor
Location: Slough
Salary: £60,000
Hours – Continental Shift Pattern
Our client is a global data centre services organisation, steadily growing their presence, and has a requirement for a HVAP Shift Supervisor based at a newly built data centre in Slough. The successful candidate will supervise the day-to-day operation of the maintenance team to ensure the effective operation of Mechanical and Electrical services. The role involves working on a 24/7 shift rota, covering planned and reactive maintenance tasks within the site’s systems.
Duties:
* Supervise the site team in accordance with client procedures and policies.
* Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site’s M&E plant and equipment.
* Maintain compliance and records for QHSE management systems.
* Participate in the call-out system.
* Identify training needs for the team and ensure completion and knowledge checks.
* Organise reactive repairs and scheduled maintenance for all site M&E systems.
* Prioritise and delegate maintenance tasks to ensure service levels.
* Ensure PPM is carried out according to schedules and industry standards.
* Learn site operations and obtain detailed knowledge of the site.
* Perform HV and LV switching works, including writing switching schedules, often out of hours.
* Assist with labour planning and cover for absences.
* Supervise specialist contractors, including induction and sign-off of minor works.
* Keep records, including service reports and work authorizations.
* Manage change control submissions, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
* Use help desk and PPM systems to monitor performance and ensure service quality.
Requirements:
* Trade-trained with ideally 3 years’ experience in building services.
* City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical qualification.
* Experience in critical sites such as data centres or banking facilities.
* Strong knowledge of building services systems.
* Leadership skills to manage teams under pressure, maintaining professionalism and service quality.
* Willingness to attend training, which may include nights away from home.
