About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)?

We’re recruiting Support Workers for a specialist alternative provision that delivers education through outdoor learning and therapeutic approaches. This is a non-mainstream environment where no two days are the same – ideal for those who thrive outside the traditional classroom.

Some pupils may have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), while others may not. All benefit from a tailored, trauma-informed approach to learning and care.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH/SEND
2. Assist with outdoor, hands-on, and experiential learning activities
3. Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
4. Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
Requirements:
5. Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and/or SEND
6. Resilient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
7. Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
8. Understanding of EHCPs and trauma-informed practice is a plus
9. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
