Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, starting as soon as possible. About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher. Your role is to ensure that students remain focused, engaged, and productive during their lessons, maintaining a calm and positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
Distributing and collecting resources and materials as required.
Supporting students with their learning, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational or youth setting.
Possess strong communication and classroom management skills.
Be adaptable, reliable, and confident in leading groups of students.
Hold a degree or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
