About the role The Archaeology portfolio at Oxford Lifelong Learning (Oxford University Department for Continuing Education) comprises a range of open access Weekly Classes and Short Online Courses, Day & Weekend events, Lecture Series and Summer Schools. It also includes a number of undergraduate courses: the Certificate in Archaeology, Diploma in British Archaeology and the Advanced Diploma in British Archaeology. The Departmental Tutor in Archaeology will teach across our provision. Tutors’ duties include contributing to curriculum development, teaching and engaging in assessment and marking, as well as dealing with relevant administrative tasks. Departmental Tutors work collegiately with colleagues, sharing in collaborative decisions affecting courses and proposing and implementing improvements to working methods, to ensure high standards are maintained. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position, available on a permanent contract.
