English Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a secondary school in Walsall to recruit an enthusiastic and dependable English Cover Supervisor. This full-time role involves supporting students’ learning in English lessons and helping maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with their English work to ensure they stay focused and engaged
* Assisting with delivering pre-prepared lesson activities provided by the teaching team
* Maintaining classroom discipline and fostering a positive learning atmosphere
* Helping students with any questions or difficulties related to the lesson content
* Supporting the English department with administrative and organisational tasks when required
* Reporting any behavioural or learning concerns to teaching staff promptly
Who we’re looking for:
* Experience working in a school or educational setting, ideally with secondary-aged students
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Reliable, proactive and able to support a positive classroom environment effectively
* A genuine interest in supporting young people’s education and wellbeing
* Basic knowledge of the English curriculum (desirable but not essential)
* A flexible and positive attitude to supporting the school’s needs
