Job Title: Receptionist Location: Bournemouth Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour Job Type: Term time only (8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday) Start Date: Immediate Are you a dynamic, friendly, and enthusiastic individual committed to providing exceptional service? GSL Education are currently seeking a receptionist for a local secondary school in Bournemouth, with an immediate start. This position is term-time only, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. About the Role: As a receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the educational institution. Responsibilities: Greet visitors, parents, and students warmly, and assist students visiting the reception area. Answer calls and emails, directing them appropriately. Manage the main reception area, ensuring professionalism and organisation. Assist with filing, photocopying, data entry, and handle incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain accurate student attendance records and assist with enrolment. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students while supporting the dissemination of information via newsletters and other channels. Manage the school calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings. Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive, inclusive environment. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills for building effective relationships. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills. Familiarity with school management systems is a plus. Efficient in managing workloads independently and skilled in problem-solving to calmly address and resolve issues. Maintains personal and professional privacy. A team player who collaborates effectively in a friendly manner.
