Key Responsibilities
* Create and deliver high-quality, accessible Science lessons and intervention programs tailored to individual learning plans.
* Manage challenging behavior positively using de-escalation techniques, establishing clear boundaries while promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience.
* Contribute to personalized learning and behavior plans, working alongside families, mainstream schools, and external agencies.
* Support pupils in achieving academic, vocational, and personal outcomes, preparing them for reintegration or future pathways.
What you need
* QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching credentials.
* Proven experience teaching or working with young people who have complex behavioral or SEMH needs.
* Strong behavior management, resilience, patience, adaptability, and high emotional intelligence.
* Right to work in the UK
* An enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one)
* Strong safeguarding awareness.
Desirable:
* Prior experience in an Alternative Provision (AP), Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), or specialized SEND environment.
* Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches.
* A full UK driving license (helpful for traveling between multi-site provisions).
