Industrial Automation Application Engineer – South East UK, you must live within this area.
Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. You must also have relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The successful candidate will be required to live in the South East area of the UK. This is a work-from-home role.
The Application Engineer is an expert providing the best technical consulting and solutions for key industrial automation applications to the Sales Teams in the pre-sales phase across different industry segments, considering commercial factors when proposing solutions and supporting assigned projects. The role requires expertise in commissioning, software, and controls functionalities.
Key Aspects of the Role:
* Translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software fields using the latest technologies.
* Assess the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry/technology segment knowledge.
* Specify components and write technical elements for customer proposals.
* Create Requirement Specifications with customers.
* Ensure project deadlines are met and oversee project realization.
* Report activities and developments, and manage project data accurately.
* Handle complaints and develop action plans as necessary.
* Discuss machine concepts to optimize and define specifications.
* Support drafting of account plans.
* Coordinate with relevant departments during pre-sales activities, acting as an interface between customers and the company.
* Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the team on specific products and applications.
* Support compliance with norms and regulations.
* Identify and support winning projects.
* Manage project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
* Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
