An opportunity has arisen to join the highly motivated District Nursing Service in the Conwy locality. The role involves supporting the district nursing team to care for those living in the community who require nursing care. The successful candidate should have obtained or be working towards NVQ Level III.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, aware of, and committed to the modernisation of the service. They should work well both within a team and independently.
You must be able to travel between patients' homes in towns and rural areas in a timely manner. Welsh speaking is desirable.
Main duties of the job
1. Job overview
2. Support the district nursing team in providing care to community patients.
3. Support the delivery of nursing care as allocated by a trained nurse after appropriate training, within a plan of care.
4. Organise tasks flexibly according to priority of needs.
5. Assist patients in maintaining quality of life.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with Health Board Policy.
7. Order HSDU, manage stores, and check deliveries to ensure resource efficiency.
8. Assist with clerical duties as appropriate.
9. Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome.
