Job purpose
The job holder will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of PGM based alloys for various applications within the Noble Metals business unit. They will utilize several procedures to process ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customers. The job holder may also be responsible for inspection and packaging of materials.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring health and safety for themselves and colleagues, working in accordance with all relevant production procedures, and promptly reporting incidents or accidents to their Production lead or Deputy.
* Following operating procedures and standard work, and accurately recording process information.
* Working effectively with team members, management, and other key personnel to meet production targets and customer demands.
* Minimizing waste to control costs within the budget, and assisting with projects and other duties as required.
* Using measuring equipment (including micrometers and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor and control product quality.
* Submitting quality samples and preparing inspection documentation.
* Operating and setting up machines according to standards and procedures.
* Manufacturing various components across multiple areas using suitable equipment.
* Inspecting and packaging materials.
* Performing any other duties within their skills and abilities as reasonably instructed.
