Are you a senior technical leader ready to take full ownership of site technical strategy in a fast-paced, high-performing food manufacturing environment?
At The Compleat Food Group, were looking for aSite Head of Technicalto lead our Milton Keynes site, driving excellence in food safety, quality, legality, and customer satisfaction while shaping and delivering our technical strategy.
The Role
Reporting to the Divisional Technical Director, youll take full accountability for the sites technical agendaleading a large team, partnering with key customers, and ensuring the highest standards across all operations.
Youll play a critical role on the Site Leadership Team, influencing business decisions and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the site technical team, ensuring best-in-class standards and compliance
* Deliver the group technical strategy at site level
* Own customer relationships from a technical perspective, ensuring expectations are consistently met
* Drive continuous improvement across technical KPIs, audit performance, and factory standards
* Lead customer audits, visits, and product launches
* Develop and manage joint quality plans with customers
* Use data and insight to improve performance and decision-making
* Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver safe, legal, high-quality products
About You
Youre an experienced technical leader from a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ideally chilled, with strong retailer exposure.
Youll bring:
* Proven experience leading large technical teams and developing talent
* Strong knowledge of UK retailer standards (e.g. Tesco, M&S, Sainsburys, Asda)
* Expertise in food safety, quality systems, and legislation
* A track record of delivering audit excellence and driving continuous improvement
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, complex environment
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in a food-related discipline
* HACCP Level 3 & Food Safety Level 3
* Lead Auditor qualification
* Strong understanding of TACCP and food integrity
* Full UK driving licence
