3. Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis
4. Manage month-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
5. Deliver timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards
6. Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis
7. Collaborate with operational managers to track costs and maximise profitability
8. Ensure all statutory and tax obligations (Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, Statutory filings) are met in a timely and compliant manner.
9. Manage relationships with external advisors/accountants
10. Drive operational efficiencies through sound financial controls and policies
11. Provide strategic insight and recommendations to leadership team to support decision making
12. Implement and manage ERP systems
13. Manage and mentor a small finance team and approve/authorise as necessary (Payroll, VAT, Management Accounts)
14. Manage commercial insurances / other business support activities
The Successful Applicant
15. Strong experience in SME finance leadership
16. ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
17. Must have inventory accounting experience / manufacturing exp.
18. Advanced Microsoft excel skills
19. Proven ability to manage the finance function independently
20. Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software
21. Commercially minded, proactive, and confident communicator
What's on Offer
£80,000 - £90,000 (pro rata) for 2 or 3 days a week.
