School Caretaker - Split Shift\n\nLocation: Newham, East Ham, London (between two nearby schools)\n Hours:\n * Morning: 6:30am - 9:30am\n * Afternoon/Evening: 3:00pm - 6:30pm\n Contract: Ongoing / Long-term\n Start: ASAP\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are working with two friendly schools in East Ham who are looking for a reliable and hands-on School Caretaker to support the day-to-day running of their sites. This is a split-shift role, ideal for someone local and experienced in school or site management environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOpening and securing the school buildings\n\nBasic maintenance and minor repairs\n\nHealth & Safety checks and site inspections\n\nSetting up rooms and halls as required\n\nGrounds maintenance and litter picking\n\nSupporting fire safety procedures and alarms\n\nLiaising with school staff and contractors\n\nRequirements\n\nPrevious caretaker or site assistant experience (school experience preferred)\n\nGood understanding of Health & Safety\n\nReliable, punctual, and practical\n\nAble to work independently across two sites\n\nEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nConsistent split-shift hours\n\nLong-term
