Crime / Duty Solicitor – Norfolk
We’re representing a well-established Norfolk law firm with a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services in the local community. The firm is looking to add a talented Crime / Duty Solicitor to its busy Criminal Defence team.
The Role
You’ll handle a varied caseload of criminal matters from police station through to Crown Court, including advocacy, preparation of cases, and client representation. The position is suited to someone confident in managing their own files while working closely with colleagues to ensure clients receive clear, practical, and robust legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend police stations, Magistrates’ Court, and Crown Court as required
* Prepare and conduct cases from start to finish
* Advise and represent clients under Legal Aid and private arrangements
* Work with sensitivity and professionalism in often high-pressure situations
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor with current Criminal Litigation Accreditation (Duty status advantageous)
* Strong advocacy and client care skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
* Full UK driving licence
