Casual Outreach Worker
This casual Outreach Worker position is split between the Housing, Outreach and Support Team (HOST) and the Edge of Care (EOC) Team, requiring flexibility to work with diverse families and individuals, including evenings and weekends with on-call manager support.
You'll provide crucial 1-to-1 specialist targeted support to children, young people, care leavers, and families in their homes and communities. This includes assisting those with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, developing life skills, setting up new homes, or navigating care proceedings.
The EOC Team specifically focuses on preventing children and young people from entering or re-entering care by providing timely outreach. This includes supporting those at imminent risk of coming into care, stabilising placements (like foster care or Special Guardianship Orders) at risk of breakdown, aiding transitions from residential to foster care, and facilitating smooth reunifications with birth families. This is a challenging yet rewarding role for flexible individuals.
