Salary: Starting at £47,241, depending on experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Principal Process Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance within our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities.
* Mentoring and developing junior engineers to foster their growth.
* Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies.
* Peer reviewing work to maintain high standards.
* Performing risk analysis to identify potential hazards.
* Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Experience in an explosion safety engineering environment with a solid grasp of hazard analysis methods.
* Proven ability in DSEAR risk assessment production, including hazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry).
* A thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and a track record of implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives.
Desirable:
* Degree qualified in a STEM discipline.
* Experience with COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support).
* Background in Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering.
