Availability Window
Availability window shows Sun, Thu, Fri and Sat from 05:15:00 to 14:00:00. The schedule will be used to plan contracted hours, and you will receive 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility if your available times closely match but do not exactly match the advertised times.
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additionally, payments may apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The following describes how we deliver in our customer shopping trip and what we expect from delivery drivers:
* Delivering as part of our customer delivery service, including ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy.
* Leaving the back yard clean and picking up litter as you see it.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process and loading the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
* Talking to the customer about changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, and offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own and delivering within the customer time slot.
* Explaining to the customer that substitutions will not incur extra charges and calling the customer before arriving if you are early.
* Calling the store/centre if you are running 30 minutes or more late.
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and work together to make the store the best it can be for customers.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say “Thank you”.
* Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work.
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
* A UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
* Able to adhere to the GB Domestic Driving Rules.
