CMA is delighted to be working exclusively with a thriving and purpose-driven retail business based in Havant to recruit a Stock Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the integrity of stock financials across the business, combining financial control with operational insight.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of inventory accuracy and stock-related financial reporting, while leading continuous improvement initiatives and engaging with cross-functional teams.
What will the Stock Finance Manager role involve?
Lead responsibility for the accuracy, existence and completeness of the company’s stock file.
Own financial entries related to stock, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and audit readiness.
Develop and implement stock control and reconciliation procedures, including regular variance analysis and inventory reporting.
Manage and support the stock audit team, overseeing regular stock counts and investigations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Logistics to improve stock processes and ensure alignment.
Deliver clear, meaningful insights and reporting to senior stakeholders using tools like Power BI and Excel.
Drive process improvements, automation and increased efficiency across stock accounting and reconciliation workflows.
Suitable Candidate for the Stock Finance Manager vacancy:
Proven experience in stock finance, inventory control or stock operations within a finance setting.
Strong understanding of financial accounting for inventory and operational processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
Experience managing or mentoring a small team.
Confident communicator who can engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Proficient in Excel (lookups, pivot tables) and ideally experienced with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
