Fund or Department Description
The Carlyle AlpInvest Investor Relations ("IR") team is responsible for IR‑related activities across the segment, as well as new business development and fundraising activities across both its flagship fund products and multi‑strategy solutions for institutional and private wealth client bases.
Position Summary
Carlyle seeks to hire a Product Specialist – Associate within Carlyle AlpInvest’s Investor Relations Team. The Associate will work across product lines including Secondary, Co‑Investment, NAV Finance, and Primary Investments, supporting efforts in both the Institutional and Private Wealth channels.
The Associate will take on meaningful ownership of workstreams, including managing complex investor requests, coordinating diligence processes, contributing to product messaging, and supporting fundraising execution. The role includes regular interaction with limited partners and internal stakeholders, requiring strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. The successful candidate must be able to build expertise in the strategies in which Carlyle AlpInvest operates, manage multiple priorities independently, and perform effectively in a deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, among others:
* Prepare client update presentations and investment plans, and update marketing and fundraising materials, including due‑diligence responses, RFIs, and RFPs.
* Support in the day‑to‑day management of investor inquiries and coordination of multi‑stakeholder responses.
* Assist with the development of product messaging and value propositions for fundraising initiatives.
* Support cross‑functional coordination with investment, legal, tax, reporting, operations, and sales teams to respond to investor requests.
* Manage portions of the investor due diligence process, including data room preparation, follow‑up coordination, and diligence trackers.
* Maintain investor pipelines, diligence trackers, and CRM data to ensure accuracy and timely updates.
* Utilize CRM systems and reporting platforms to extract, analyze, and synthesize LP data.
* Provide guidance to analysts on materials preparation and workflow organization.
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
* University degree in an analytical subject (e.g., Finance, Economics, Econometrics, or Engineering) with above average results.
Professional Experience
* 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, asset management, international law firms, or comparable blue‑chip environments.
* Private equity, secondaries, co‑investments, or structured finance exposure preferred.
* Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
* Strong ability to interpret quantitative data, financial models, and legal/operational documents.
* Capable of managing complex workstreams with limited supervision.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to professional investor audiences.
* Demonstrated initiative, ownership mentality, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
* High level of energy and enthusiasm for private equity, investor relations, and client engagement.
Position‑specific Technical Requirements
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
* Experience with CRM systems (DealCloud preferred).
* Ability to quickly build proficiency in various reporting platforms and extract actionable insights from LP data.
