Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) is the new organisation formed by NSS and NES, supporting the renewal and long‑term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
About the Organisation
PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS to accelerate national programmes, support NHS delivery, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.
The Post
The Central Legal Office (CLO) provides legal services to the NHS and wider public sector. We are seeking a solicitor with proven experience in civil claims litigation to join our busy Litigation Department. The role will involve personal injury, clinical negligence and Fatal Accident Inquiry work and will be part of a comprehensive litigation service.
The Candidate
Suitable for a newly qualified solicitor or one with post‑qualifying experience. The successful candidate will be a team player, able to handle both contentious and non‑contentious work, and meet the following qualifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in civil claims litigation, including personal injury, clinical negligence and Fatal Accident Inquiry work.
* Unrestricted practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland.
* Disclosure Scotland check, and if you have lived or worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding five years, a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
* Must live and remain a resident within the UK and have entitlement to work in the UK.
Location and Working Pattern
Gyle Square, Edinburgh. Hybrid working is currently available. Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
