<div><h3>Job overview</h3><p>Consultant in Hematology role focused on acute leukaemia and teenage/young adult (TYA) patients, starting 13 October 2026.</p><p>Responsibilities include providing haematology leadership to the TYA service, participating in haemato‑oncology on‑call rota and inpatient attending service.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p>Lead and develop care for TYA patients with haematological malignancies in CUH and across the region.</p><p>Work with established sub‑speciality teams in leukaemia, stem‑cell transplantation and cellular therapies.</p><p>Inpatient work as part of malignant attending rota, managing teenage and young adult patients and those undergoing stem‑cell transplants and other cellular therapies. Consultant on‑call rota for malignant haematology only (currently 1:8).</p><p>Outpatient work includes two weekly multidisciplinary meetings and three clinics covering leukaemia, TYA patients and pre‑/post‑stem‑cell transplant/cellular therapy care.</p><p>Collaborate with the academic department at the University of Cambridge; teaching, research opportunities and an active clinical trials portfolio. Potential for honorary university appointments based on teaching and research contributions.</p><p>Hold full‑time role based at Addenbrooke’s, Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The framework hospital will be part of the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital project launching by 2032.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of receipt of a CCT. English language proficiency is required in accordance with GMCs Good Medical Practice (2013); non‑UK applicants must hold IELTS/OET before obtaining a GMC licence.</p><p>Eligibility for skilled‑worker sponsorship is required.
