Grõ Careers is proud to be partnering with one of London’s most exciting, fast-growing design studios… a highly creative practice we have supported in scaling from 15 to 35 architects in just 18 months, now operating from a brand-new Central London studio as they embark on their next phase of ambitious growth through 2026.
As their dedicated talent partner, all opportunities within this studio come directly through us… you won’t see these roles advertised elsewhere in the market!
This is a rare chance to step into a studio that is already being celebrated worldwide for its visionary front-end design. Operating mainly across RIBA 0 to 3, with occasional progression into Stage 4, you will contribute to inventive, highly creative projects on an international stage, including but not limited to...
* High-end hospitality & destination projects
* Luxury residential
* Cultural & civic architecture
* Large-scale mixed-use developments
The studio is known for its strong design culture, and the team includes designers who have trained and worked at world-class studios. This is a place for architects who want to design properly…. not just document.
The Role - What You Will Actually Be Doing…
This is a hands-on design role where you will be provided with real valuable exposure from day one.
Typical exposure includes…
* Concept design through to technical delivery (RIBA 1 to 4)
* High level Rhino & Revit-driven design development
* Direct involvement in client workshops and design reviews
* Cross-discipline coordination with landscape, structure & MEP etc
* Developing schemes from early sketch concepts to construction packages
* Working on live international projects across multiple time zones
This is not a back-seat role…
Designers here are deeply embedded in projects and play an active role in shaping architecture from the earliest stages.
The Kind of Designer Who Thrives Here…
They are specifically looking for:
* Experienced Part IIs or Architects with circa 3 to 5 years’ experience
* Very strong Rhino + Revit skills (essential)
* Grasshopper desirable
* Designers who are fast, accurate and confident in production
* People who enjoy problem-solving through making and modelling
* Architects who use digital tools to enhance creativity - not drive it
An important distinction here… They are not looking for overly computational or AI-driven designers. This is a studio that values design instinct, spatial intelligence and architectural judgement first, supported by digital skill.
Culture & Personality - Just as Important as Skill…
Cultural fit is taken extremely seriously. The people who succeed here are:
* Self-driven and proactive - they don’t need micro-managing
* Calm, collaborative and socially intelligent
* Confident, but not ego-led
* Comfortable admitting what they don’t know and learning quickly
* Easy to work with and good to be around
Following consistent feedback from our client throughout the hiring process, it’s clear they place real value on designers with interests that extend beyond architecture… whether that’s art, sculpture, music, sport, photography or making. They genuinely believe that well-rounded, culturally curious individuals make better designers.
Working Environment & Benefits…
* 5 days office-based in a brand new Central London studio
* Early finish on Fridays (circa 3pm) – start your weekend early
* Highly competitive salaries: Candidates typically see 10 to 15% increases when moving from top-tier design studios
* Strong career progression as the London studio continues to scale rapidly
* A genuinely creative, energetic and supportive studio culture
Who This Is Perfect For…
This role is ideal for a designer who:
* Wants to be deeply involved in real design, not siloed production
* Is excited by international, high-profile work
* Wants to grow in a studio that is clearly on an upward trajectory
* Values both creative ambition and healthy working culture
If this feels like the right fit, we would love to hear from you promptly. We are reviewing candidate profiles with the Directors throughout December and will begin arranging in-person interviews from w/c 12th January.
