Assistant Accountant
Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
* Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance requirements.
* Support the preparation of financial analyses and forecasts.
* Maintain and update financial records and vendor/customer databases.
* Gather and analyse financial data to assist in making informed business decisions.
* Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and controls.
* Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
* Stay up-to-date with accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Credit Control.
Requirements:
* Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced Excel skills (Lookup, Pivot Tables).
* SAGE 50 experience.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
