Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. A good understanding of mechanical operations and warehouse experience will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
* Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle.
Experience
* Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential.
* Familiarity with flatbed driving is preferred but not mandatory.
* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road.
* Previous warehouse experience will be an advantage in understanding logistics operations.
