Hays have partnered with a growing engineeringpany in Blackpool looking to take on a temporary member of staff to support them through a busy period. This role is full-time on-site due to the field they operate in. However, they do offer flexible working arrangements to amodate a healthy work-life balance. This role will be for a minimum of 4 months.
Your new role
Within your new position, you will handle a variety of responsibilities, including managing both sales and purchase ledgers, raising purchase orders for subcontractors, and performing regular bank reconciliations. You will also be responsible for making payments to suppliers and maintaining the general ledgers.Additionally, you will assist with the month-end close process and support the Finance Manager with payroll functions. This includes processing iing timesheets, validating them against annual leave, sickness, and vehicle tracking records, and entering the data into spreadsheets.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, you will need to have previous experience within a similar role, have experience with accounting systems such as Sage 50 & SAP and be a proficient user of Excel.
