Join Our Team as an Education Administrator at ROC College (Maternity Cover) Role: Education Administrator – Maternity Cover Location: Hybrid – Totnes office and home-based Function: Education (ROC College) Accountable to: Administration Manager Hours: 35 hours per week Hourly Rate: £12.40 United Response is a registered charity, founded in 1973. Our mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities and mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live life to the fullest. We support around 2,000 people across more than 300 locations in England and Wales, with over 3,600 staff members. ROC College, part of United Response, is a specialist college providing person-centred, community-based teaching and learning across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. We work with young people aged 16 to 25 with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working collaboratively and can manage multiple priorities effectively. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office including Teams, Forms, Excel and Word, and ideally have experience working in an educational or SEND-focused environment. Your tasks will include updating registers and managing student bookings, supporting induction processes and online learning accounts, maintaining central records such as staff lists and equipment logs, assisting with exam arrangements including issuing papers and acting as a scribe or invigilator when needed, and general office support such as handling communications, updating web content and processing supplier requests. You will also liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, so clear and professional communication is essential. The ability to stay organised, work flexibly and adapt to changing needs is key. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable, as is experience in post-16 education or an understanding of Ofsted requirements.
