Maths and English Tutor – Romford
Inspire learning. Build confidence. Change children’s lives.
Explore Learning has helped children across the UK thrive for 25 years through expert tuition, innovative learning tools and the dedication of our teachers.
We offer a truly individualised approach to tuition. Our learning platform Compass follows each child’s pace and adapts in real time, allowing tutors to stretch or scaffold to enable meaningful progress.
As a tutor you will act as a coach and mentor, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose.
1. Deliver lessons that last: Using Compass, you’ll deliver tailored sessions facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
2. Build meaningful relationships: With a 1‑to‑16 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a love of learning.
3. Drive academic progress: Support members as they work through the national curriculum, entrance exams and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes.
You’ll thrive as an Explore Learning tutor if you:
* Are confident leading sessions with small groups (1‑to‑16), inspiring children to engage in their learning, using positive behaviour management strategies, and consistently prioritising their safety and wellbeing.
* Feel comfortable supporting children aged 4‑16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content.
* Are committed to building meaningful, long‑term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive.
Why Join Explore Learning
Make a real impact: Leave every session knowing you’ve helped children grow in confidence, develop key skills, and build a love of learning that lasts.
Focus on what matters: With lessons and materials already prepared in Compass, you can concentrate on tutoring and nurturing your members, rather than planning resources.
Grow and develop: Accumulate confidence as an educator through hands‑on tutoring and ongoing development.
Work in a supportive team: Thrive in a collaborative, close‑knit team of passionate tutors.
