Community and Enterprise resources are looking to appoint an Assistant Venue Officer to join their team.
Main accountabilities are to assist the Facility Officer in the promotion and development of Facilities Services and identify areas of expansion taking into consideration constraints of current legislation and financial resources. This will include assisting and contributing to service projects. Provide advice, guidance and support to Facilities Assistants to ensure services are delivered to meet organisational and legislative requirements of the service.
Main Duties:
1. Assisting with the management of venues within South Lanarkshire Council, including management of staff and resources in accordance with SLC policies and associated legislative and customer requirements.
2. To carry out catering, cleaning and council officer’s audits including checking compliance with organisational and legislative requirements. Ensuring immediate actions are verified and reporting findings to Facility Officer.
3. Work as Duty Manager at events and undertake tasks appropriate to this duty including occasional evening working for events.
4. Plan and organise resources to meet operational objectives.
5. Assist in Managing budgets and understand South Lanarkshire Council’s financial systems to the level required, whilst working constantly under the principles of Best Value
6. Assist with managing South Lanarkshire Council’s Food Safety Management System in venues across South Lanarkshire.
7. Assist Facilities Officer with ensuring that Health & Safety practices, policies and procedures are applied to minimise workplace accidents and injuries.
8. Assist Facilities Officer with maximising attendance policies and procedures ensuring that action is taken and recorded.
