The role
As our business is growing, and our passenger numbers increasing, we are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join the business at this exciting time. Our Lounges here at Edinburgh Airport provides our customers with the very best start to their journeys.
Duties will include:
6. Assisting the lounge team with the delivery of an excellent lounge experience.
7. Ensuring the kitchen and all storage locations are kept clean, hygienic and adhere to all health and safety standards.
8. Washing all crockery, cutlery and light equipment. Any oversized equipment that will not fit in the dishwasher should be washed in designated sinks using the correct Ecolab chemical.
9. Cleaning kitchen ovens, fridges and floors in accordance with operating standard.
10. Ensuring that any crockery, cutlery and equipment is stores correctly and that floors and fire exits are kept free of any obstacles.
11. Monitoring all waste disposal bins ensuring waste items are recycled by placing in correct waste disposal bins and adhering to the waste policy.
12. Reporting any maintenance issues
13. Clearing all breakages and spillages, following operating procedure and dispose of them correctly.
14. Ensuring that only Ecolab chemicals are used for cleaning.
15. Taking receipt of all deliveries, ensuring that all items arrive and are correctly put away ensuring stock rotation.

The ideal candidate will be meet the below criteria;

18. Previous experience in a similar a role is desirable.
Additional information:
Flexibility will be required as the lounge is open 7 days a week and your shifts will fall between the hours of 4.00am - 10.00pm.
