Overview Humly is working with a welcoming primary school in Penrith seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Key Stage 2 classroom. This full-time role will begin after the Easter holidays (from Monday 13th April 2026) and will run until Friday 22nd May 2026 (until half-term). The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, supporting the class teacher and helping pupils remain engaged with their learning during lessons. The role will mainly involve supporting pupils within mainstream classrooms, assisting with activities and providing additional guidance where needed to help pupils make progress. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the school's curriculum and expectations. Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development within the Primary setting. Maintain effective classroom management and a productive learning atmosphere. Follow all safeguarding and reporting protocols required by the school. Candidate Profile Relevant qualifications for a Teaching Assistant (e.g., QTS or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to the Primary sector. Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
