Job Description
Baxterstorey is seeking a talented and dedicated Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Coventry, United Kingdom. As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations and contributing to the overall success of our food service.
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your designated section of the kitchen
* Ensure all food items are prepared to the exact specifications of our menu and recipes
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
* Assist in stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste
* Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
* Contribute to menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate
* Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
* Assist the Head Chef as required
* Maintain knowledge of current food trends and culinary techniques
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
* Culinary degree or diploma from a recognised institution
* Valid Food Safety Certification
* Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
* Passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence
