New Directions Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS1 Booster Teacher to support Reading and Writing across primary schools on the Wirral. This role is perfect for teachers who are passionate about raising attainment and helping young learners build confidence in core literacy skills.
Role Responsibilities
1. Deliver targeted booster sessions in Reading and Writing to small groups and individual pupils in KS1.
2. Support pupils who require additional intervention to meet age-related expectations.
3. Plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions aligned with school curriculum objectives.
4. Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and leadership teams to identify learning gaps and monitor progress.
5. Provide clear, constructive feedback to support ongoing pupil development.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who:
6. Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with KS1 experience.
7. Has a strong understanding of Reading and Writing development within KS1.
8. Can confidently deliver focused booster or intervention sessions.
9. Is committed, adaptable, and able to work effectively with school staff.
10. Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).

Job Specification
We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.
